Minister's Welcome
A very warm welcome to the Somerset Mendip Methodist Circuit. We are so glad you are with us. We are made up of 13 chapels and 3 classes stretching from Rode to Banwell, Norton Down to Wincanton. You will find a warm and inviting welcome in each. We have four prespators, one of whom is the Superintendant as well as four lay workers. Please feel free to contact any of them through this website.
We are a friendly open circuit who believe in God’s justice, love and hope and seek to live it in the world.

My Story
My name is Tina Oates Swire and I am the Superintendent of the Somerset Mendip Methodist Circuit.
Originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, I was ordained in 1992 by the United Church of Canada. I served with them until 2002 when I married my husband John Swire and made the move to England.
I have served within the Methodist Church from 2002 until now and in various parts of the country. I have been the Superintendent of the Somerset Mendip Methodist Circuit since 2017 and have enjoyed it very much.
